What did I ever do to you, Twitter Tools?

Obviously, I thought I “fixed” the Twitter Tools plug-in, the simple tool that is supposed to download my tweets once a week and post them as one post on this site, both archiving them for me and showing them to people who might not follow me on Twitter.

Clearly, that is not what happened.

Plus, at least half the time, when you call up the main site page, it says Twitter couldn’t respond, and to try again later, in the frame on the right which is supposed to show my most recent tweets.

I’ve had more problems with this version of WordPress than any previous one. And Twitter Tools was rewritten from the ground up to take advantage of a plugin called Social… but I don’t give a damn about that, it doesn’t work the way it used to. And it seems to collide with the Twitter features of Jetpack – which broke my commenting button when I upgraded both Jetpack and WordPress.

Suffice to say, this is supposed to be the EASY stuff, and when it starts working again, I will never ever upgrade again to a .0 release. I mean, c’mon.

Meanwhile, stick with us and your regularly scheduled perfume huffing will return forthwith.
